Remember when you were a kid and the summer lasted foreverrrrr?
Well, good thing you have those memories because it’s not like that when you are an adult. Needless to say, the month May came and went and I feel like I barely blinked an eye. Regardless, there were still some things that made the month totally awesome.
1. Barbell 1 Podcast
Yep – another podcast! I just love them. And this one is full of great content and information. If you enjoy weight lifting, diet reviews, or general discussions around healthy lifestyles, check this one out for your drive home!
2. Overnight Oats
There are a bajillion recipes for overnight oats, but this one is my personal favorite. Quick, easy, and leaves me satisfied when I eat it about an hour before my workout.
1/2 cup oats
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup fat free greek yogurt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
stevia/sweetener to taste
Mix, refrigerate for at least one hour, and enjoy!
3. Robin Gallant
I found this chick on Youtube, and I basically spent a few hours of my weekend watching her videos. She follows flexible dieting, lifts heavy weights, and rocks Lululemon like a boss. I subscribed, and you should too!
4. Casein Protein
Since I have been following intermittent fasting, I have learned the importance of incorporating slow-digesting protein sources into my diet. When I am craving something sweet, I opt for casein protein as a tasty treat to end the night.
This was the brand I have been using, but I look forward to trying new ones. Let me know if you have any favorites!
